Carbon Credits in the Last Mile Distribution Sector

GDC

Carbon finance may enhance profitability and growth for some last mile distributors (LMDs), but setting up a carbon project is far from straightforward or easy. There are three main models for LMDs to pursue – “do-it-yourself”, partnership, and aggregation – and many other factors that companies need to carefully consider to assess whether pursuing a carbon project makes sense for them. These include the high costs, effort, and level of staff expertise involved; technology-specific considerations; the need to balance risk with any potential benefits; and the robust monitoring processes required to ensure integrity and quality.

Come along to hear recommendations from the GDC’s upcoming report on this hot topic, and for firsthand insights, lessons, and top tips from GDC members Sistema.bio, SPOUTS of Water, and Kukula Solar, who will share their respective experiences of setting up or participating in carbon projects.

This webinar is hosted by the Global Distributors Collective and supported by the Transforming Energy Access (TEA) platform.
