Inclusive healthcare in low-and middle-income countries
This report by Hystra looks at a new generation of inclusive healthcare initiatives that have emerged to address the rising chronic disease burden and improve the diagnosis, treatment, and care for underserved populations, with sustainable models. It is a sequel to their study ‘Assessing the Landscape of innovative approaches‘, published in 2022, in which Hystra and the IQVIA Institute for Human Data Science had identified a global landscape of 244 inclusive business initiatives.
Based on a deep dive into the learnings shared by pioneering companies, this report presents business models innovations and recommendations – for entrepreneurs, corporates, investors, health funders, and governments – on how to unlock the growth potential of innovative inclusive businesses categorized into four business models: inclusive clinics and hospitals, pharmacy-based, community-based, and health coverage and disease prevention model.
