GDC Member Learning and Collaboration Event

Registration for our upcoming GDC member learning and collaboration event is officially open! This is an invite-only event conducted in English and specifically designed for GDC members so if you are a GDC member, make sure to apply by 18th February 2024 using the link that you received.

If you’re a last mile distribution company that would like to attend but are not currently a GDC member, please get in touch with us directly.

We understand that opportunities to meet other last mile distributors (LMDs) to exchange experiences, explore common challenges, and share learnings are incredibly valuable – but also very rare. That’s why we are so thrilled to be bringing GDC members together in Lusaka; to connect and learn from one another’s experiences.

The upcoming event includes two days of workshops on topics including innovation, digitalisation, business performance, and access to finance; interactive panels; networking opportunities; and site visits to see GDC members in action.

Where and when?

8-9 April 2024 in Lusaka, Zambia

More details…

This is the first of four regional GDC member learning and collaboration events planned for the next two years. We will also hold a similar event in West Africa, East Africa and South Asia, and we hope GDC members will be able to join at least one event. More details on future events, including dates and registration details, will be available in due course.

The event is free for GDC members to attend, but participants will be required to cover their travel costs to and from Lusaka. We do have a small grant pot available to assist GDC members with travel costs. Please complete the relevant section in the registration form that you received to be considered for this grant support. We will let you know after the event registration closes if your application for grant support has been successful and what the next steps are.

Additional forum: GOGLA Decentralised Renewable Energy (DRE) Day

Taking place directly after the GDC event on 10th April, this is a multistakeholder event of 100+ participants interested in ramping up energy access in Zambia and sub-Saharan Africa more broadly, bringing together investors, manufacturers, service providers, programme designers, and many more!

This event is supported by GET.invest, a European programme which aims to mobilise investment in decentralised renewable energy, supported by the European Union, Germany, Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden and Austria.
